About the program
Risk Management is one of the major role actuaries play in the financial sector, synonymous with the word Risk Based Capital (RBC). Understanding RBC and its core principles enable an actuarial professional to effectively deal with Regulatory Compliance, Risk Assessment, Optimal Capital Allocation, Strategic Decision Making, Risk Mitigation Strategies, Adaption to Industry changes and Effective communication. Overall professional development is an added key takeaway.
With an intrinsic interest in capacity building in key areas of actuarial work, IAI is rolling out a comprehensive program of total duration of 32 hours to be covered over 16 sessions. This provides a unique opportunity for the actuarial professionals to exponentially grow in their role.

Program schedule & Duration:
The training program of 120 minutes each, spread over 16 sessions, commences 26 December 2023. Participants are expected to attend all live sessions and carry out regular assignments in order to accrue the best benefit from the training. In order to facilitate offline learning, the sessions will also be recorded and posted on the login page.

Dr. K. Sriram, FIAI, FIA, PGDM (IIMB), PhD, ACMAis a Consulting Actuary in Employee Benefits with more than 30 years of experience.
Mr. B.N. Rangarajan, FIAI, FIAis the Chief Risk Officer of HDFC Life. He worked as the Appointed Actuary of the erstwhile Exide Life Insurance company.
Mr. Kailash Mittal, FIAI, FIA, is a Partner Financial Risk Management with KPMG in India whoco-Heads Insurance & leads the Actuarial practice. He has around20 years of experience, with extensive exposure to areas of risk management, shareholder reporting, statutory compliance and audits, products and pricing. He also chairs the Advisory Group of Risk Management of IAI and holds a B.Tech. from IIT Kanpur and MBA-Finance from IIM, Lucknow.
Mr. Sharad Ramnarayanan, FIAI is a qualified general insurance actuary currently working as the Appointed Actuary of The New India Assurance Company Limited in, Mumbai. He is a Chemical Engineer from ICT, Mumbai and completed PGDM from MDI, Gurgaon. He is also a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) from GARP (London).
Ms. Anuradha Sriram, FIAI is the Chief Actuarial Officer of Aditya Birla Health Insurance Co. Limited (ABHICL) a joint venture between the Aditya Birla Capital and MMI Holdings of South Africa.
Mr. Vamsidhar Ambatipudi, SPGDM (IIMI), FIAI, CERA, FRM, PRM, Associate Professor, BITS Pilani
Mr. Anubhav Chattoraj, FIAI. is a qualified general insurance actuary. He has worked in IRDAI’s actuarial department for over six years across various projects including RBC implementation, and now supports the capital management function of a major global insurance group at Xceedance.

Timing: 7.00 pm-9.00 pm
