Objective:

Insurance is a business of managing risks and hence risk Management is a very critical and strategic part of an insurance business. It is imperative to embed risk management into decision making so that informed decisions are taken which helps a company to achieve its business targets while safeguarding the interest of its key stakeholders like policyholders, shareholder, regulator, employee, distribution, and others. Risk Appetite statement is an approach which provides the framework within which different risks are clearly stated, their measures articulated and most importantly, appetite of the company while managing these risks is defined. Risk Appetite statement is one of the most critical frameworks used to embed risk management in business decision making.
